News:
October 3, 2009:
Aerial photography for the years 2005 and
2006 have been fully restored to The Interactive Online Tax Map
Application. The 1994 and 2000 photos are still using a secondary
source, and you may still experience performance issues viewing these
layers. Summit County GIS is continuing to work to restore all
layers to optimal performance levels. August 18,
2009:
Several changes have been made to the
Interactive Online Tax Map Application, including new layers.
These changes are
outlined here: CHANGELOG.
July 29, 2009:
The Interactive Online Tax Map Application is
available again. Please note that map response may be slower than
usual, especially when viewing aerial photography. The Fiscal
Office appreciates your patience while it continues to work to return the
application to previous
levels of performance. July

State-wide Imagery Program. Please note that the
2006 imagery
is at a resolution of one foot per pixel, as opposed to the 6 inches
per pixel of Summit County's 2000 and 2005 imagery. For more
information, see the 2006 imagery metadata.

January 10,
2007:
In 2006,
Fiscal Office GIS updated the Tax Map Application to incorporate layers
and functionality from the Department of Development, Department of
Environmental Services, and Engineer's mapping applications. The Tax
Map Application is now the only application currently being maintained.
The other applications have been discontinued and will be
removed
in the near future. Since some functionality of
the
discontinued applications could not be duplicated in the Tax Map
Application at this time, links to the discontinued applications will
remain available below. It is important to note these
applications do not contain current data, and functions and
layers
may become unavailable at any time. If there are
features
from one of the discontinued applications you would like to see
incorporated into the Tax Map Application, let us know by
emailing gis@summitoh.net.
Use the
link to the right to access the Tax Map Application. The
tutorial
has not been updated to reflect recent changes to the application, but
is a good starting point for new users. In 2007,
Fiscal
Office GIS will be working on updating this web site and its
applications; suggestions from the public are welcome - email to gis@summitoh.net.
