Description:

Abstract:: The 1994 Contours Annotation layer contains elevation label text for "index" contour lines (contours with an elevation that is a multiple of 10) for all of Summit County, compiled by Woolpert LLP from 1994 aerial photography. The cindex annotation feature classes were appended into a single coverage, DXF-specific attributes calculated, and exported to DXF format by Summit County GIS in 2003.
Purpose:: To provide the taxpayers and agencies of Summit County a contour annotation layer at a scale and accuracy useful for property appraisal, planning, and terrain analysis. This dataset was compiled to National Map Accuracy Standards for a map scale of 1"=100' (1:1200) for those purposes. The suitability of this dataset for any other uses is not guaranteed and the user assumes all risk for such uses. Summit County, Ohio, assumes no legal responsibility for works derived from this dataset.
