Abstract:
The 2000 Spot Elevations Annotation layer contains elevation label text for elevation points for all of Summit County. This is an update to the 1994 spot elevations annotation layer, originally by Woolpert LLP from the 1994 Spot Elevations point layer compiled from 1994 aerial photography. Kucera International, Inc. updated and error corrected spot elevation annotation, based on updated spot elevation data, in areas specified by Summit County Geographic Information Services, from aerial photography taken in April 2000. Delivery format was in ESRI ARC/INFO coverage export format divided by orthophoto tile. All tiles containing annotation were then appended into a single coverage, DXF-specific attributes calculated, and exported to DXF format by Summit County GIS in 2003. Purpose:
To provide the taxpayers and agencies of Summit County a spot elevation annotation layer at a scale and accuracy useful for property appraisal, planning, and terrain analysis. This dataset was compiled to National Map Accuracy Standards for a map scale of 1"=100' (1:1200) for those purposes. The suitability of this dataset for any other uses is not guaranteed and the user assumes all risk for such uses. Summit County, Ohio, assumes no legal responsibility for works derived from this dataset.
