Abstract:
The 1994 Contours layer contains contour lines depicting ground elevations at a 2 foot interval for all of Summit County. The cindex and intermed arcs feature classes were exported from an ESRI ARC/INFO Librarian database to single county-wide shapefiles using ArcView 3.2a; then combined, and ARC/INFO-specific attribute fields deleted from the shapefile using ArcGIS 8.3 SP2, by Summit County GIS in 2003.
Purpose:
To provide the taxpayers and agencies of Summit County a contour layer at a scale and accuracy useful for property appraisal, planning, and terrain analysis. This dataset was compiled to National Map Accuracy Standards for a map scale of 1"=100' (1:1200) for those purposes. The suitability of this dataset for any other uses is not guaranteed and the user assumes all risk for such uses. Summit County, Ohio, assumes no legal responsibility for works derived from this dataset.
