Abstract:
The 2000 Whole County Digital Orthophoto is a single, lower resolution color digital orthophoto for all of Summit County, compiled by Kucera International, Inc. from aerial photography taken in April 2000. Digital orthophoto tiles in TIFF format, with a two foot pixel resolution, were mosaicked into a single image and compressed to Mr. SID format. Mr. SID compression is 60:1. Negative scale of the original aerial photography is 1"=660'.
Purpose:
To provide the taxpayers and agencies of Summit County a county-wide digital orthophoto image in a manageable file size at a scale and accuracy useful for property appraisal, planning, and terrain analysis. The suitability of this dataset for any other uses is not guaranteed and the user assumes all risk for such uses. Summit County, Ohio, assumes no legal responsibility for works derived from this dataset.
