Section 303(d) reports are submitted to the U.S. EPA in even numbered years with the exception of 2000. The next Ohio Section 303(d) TMDL report will not be required until 2002. This significant lag time between reports results in discrepancies in the status of waters officially listed. Waterway statuses that have changed, whether for better or for worse, will not be reflected until the next report is officially issued. More importantly, since all waterways have not been evaluated, these lists are inherently incomplete.
TMDL listed reaches are published in the U.S. EPA Section 303(d) report. The mapped stream locations are derived from the Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water Section 303(d), Year 1998 report and the November 2000 TMDL draft report prepared to document progress being made in the Rocky River Basin.
