Abstract:
The Parcel Regions layer contains polygons depicting the taxable areas of parcels for all of Summit County. The dataset is maintained in an ESRI ARC/INFO LIBRARIAN database. Multiple spatially-identical polygons may exist for parcels where multiple tax rates are applied to the same property. Areas of properties that exist within road right-of-ways are not included in this dataset, as they are not taxed (To determine the legal boundary of any parcel, its recorded survey or legal description should be referenced). Several attribute fields from the Summit County Fiscal Office's CAMA database are included in this dataset.
Purpose:
To provide the taxpayers and agencies of Summit County a taxable parcel regions layer at a scale and accuracy useful for property appraisal, planning, and analysis. The suitability of this dataset for any other uses is not guaranteed and the user assumes all risk for such uses. Summit County, Ohio, assumes no legal responsibility for works derived from this dataset. This dataset should never be relied upon to establish with certainty the location of property lines or the location of any other feature in relation to a property line. To establish a property line, or the relationship of a feature to a property line, the services of a Professional Surveyor, registered to practice in the State of Ohio, must be employed.
